The devil's in the detail

Amazingly detailed penmanship from artist Davit Yukhanyan who uses tiny hidden images within images to create new forms and shading.

MOVIE TIME

I haven't featured movies in a while,so I thought I'd do a 'double feature' of 2 incredible animated films.
First up: RENAISSANCE
A high contrast black and white full length movie, following a 'James Bond' character (voice over by Daniel Craig), set in futuristic Paris. It may take a while to adjust to the high contrast of it - it can be a bit hard on the eyes, but very impactful and worth the watch.

Second film:
METROPIA.

With an unusual and highly realistic animation style, this film is also set in the future. The mood is quite dark and the storyline probably a bit more 'intellectual' than you'd expect from an animated movie. Brilliantly detailed with crafted art direction. If you enjoyed Brazil or Blade runner, then this will probably be up your alley.

Star Wars Ad Campaigns

I started thinking about how Star Wars would fare in the real world and the possibilities around the brands and its advertising - this is just the start of the thought process.

Teaser Movie Posters

I thought it may be fun to design movie posters, but replace the name with a quote from the film. The designs incorporate visual clues - in case the quote is too obscure - or the movie for that matter - people think I like pretty obscure movies - so I've tried to mix it up a bit and give a range of genres from 'just under mainstream' to 'cult'. Either way the list below represents some of my personal favourites and should be watched by all.

Enjoy

Looking back - Moving forward

I love this - The Qwerkywriter, it has a certain steam punk appeal - of course it won't be to everyones taste.
